Waste Down Rebels is a modern hard rock band based out of Frederick, Maryland. The band was formed the summer of 2012 and released its first EP entitled “Beyond the Waste” on December 22, 2012 followed by their 2nd full length album “WDR II” released April 2014.
Waste Down Rebels performs all over the east coast – Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and is branching out into additional surrounding states.
Waste Down Rebels is a high-energy band that is one of Maryland’s new hard-hitting acts that delivers 110% each and every performance. WDR was recently awarded as “Frederick Maryland’s Best Original Acts”.
Waste Down Rebels is comprised of Rick Ayers (lead guitar), Marty Johnson (bass), Chris Hott (Percussion, Vocals), and Kyle Willis (Vocals). The Rebels share a combined competitiveness that brings forth a positive fierceness that excels on original recordings and live stage performances.
Combined experience in studio recording and performing professionally in a multitude of venues and tours (both headlining and opening for major acts), the band puts the music and its fans first, both on and off stage.
Waste Down Rebels has a myriad of musical influences ranging from Pantera, Godsmack, Hell Yeah, Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Dope, Stone Temple Pilots, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, and many others, and of course our own original WDR music. In addition to an ever-expanding list of original songs, the Rebels boast a wide array of cover songs ranging from classic rock to current hard rock.
